Striking behind-the-scenes claim from Şamil Tayyar: Allegation of 5-year judicial control for PKK terrorists

New behind-the-scenes information regarding the framework legislative proposal expected to be submitted to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey has come to the public agenda. Former AK Party MP Şamil Tayyar listed striking allegations regarding the content of the proposal in a post on his social media account.

While Tayyar claimed that the goal is for the regulation to be enacted before the Parliament goes into recess, he stated that there is no general amnesty within the scope of the proposal and that the law is envisioned to remain in effect for one year.

"5-YEAR JUDICIAL CONTROL AND POLITICAL BAN" ALLEGATION

According to the behind-the-scenes information shared by Şamil Tayyar, it is planned for members of the PKK terrorist organization to be kept under judicial control for 5 years within the scope of the legislative proposal.

While stating that it is envisioned for individuals who do not get involved in crimes during this period to be integrated into social life, Tayyar claimed that they would not be allowed to engage in politics during the same period.

"ORGANIZATION LEADERS WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ENTER TURKEY"

Touching upon the regulations regarding the organization's leaders in his post, Tayyar claimed that the leaders would not be able to enter Turkey and would not be able to engage in any activities against Turkey.

Tayyar also claimed that the leader of the terrorist organization, Abdullah Öcalan, would continue to remain in İmralı Prison.

CLAIMED IT COULD COVER 8 THOUSAND PEOPLE

Making assessments regarding the scope of the legislative proposal, Tayyar stated that if the expected process takes place, it is envisioned that approximately 8 thousand PKK members would return to Turkey, remain in Iraq and Syria, or move to European countries.

Tayyar also claimed that in this scenario, Qandil would be completely evacuated, the caves would be cleared, and weapons would have been laid down.

PROPOSAL EXPECTED TO BE SUBMITTED TO PARLIAMENT THIS WEEK

Şamil Tayyar stated that work is continuing on a single article of the legislative proposal. He claimed that if the issue in question is resolved, the proposal could be submitted to the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey on Thursday or Friday.
