Turhan Çömez reveals scandal in Parliament with 'mired in corruption' note: 'Parliament has closed'

There were not enough members of parliament present in the General Assembly where the Cybersecurity Law proposal brought by the government was being discussed. Stating that they had detected irregularities in the roll calls, IYI Party's Turhan Çömez announced the scandal in Parliament with the words, "There are those who submitted ballots twice, those who signed on behalf of others... You name it, it's there."

On his social media account,

"A day of shame for Turkish democracy" said Party Group Deputy Chairman Turhan Çömez, reacting to the situation and stating that serious irregularities had been committed during this process, which is why the General Assembly was closed.

Çömez harshly criticized the government, saying, "They did not come to the General Assembly for the law proposal they brought themselves. We requested a roll call. In the first roll call, the number of deputies was insufficient.

15 minutes later, the roll call process was repeated. We checked all the ballots one by one. And what do we see? Whether it's someone submitting a ballot twice or someone signing a fake signature on behalf of someone else, you name it, it's there!

Parliament has closed. This group, mired in deep corruption in every field, has signed off on another disgrace today. And all this under the roof of this supreme institution where the national will is manifested. A rotten system!"
