The YENİ Party Central Executive Board has decided to hold a rally in Üsküdar, Istanbul. According to information obtained, the rally will take place on the evening of Saturday, September 12.

During the MYK meeting chaired by YENİ Party Chairman Özgür Özel, the repeated deputy mayoral election in Üsküdar and the process leading up to the election were evaluated.

AKP CANDIDATE WON

The meeting addressed the cancellation of the deputy mayoral election—held following the arrest of Üsküdar Mayor Sinem Dedetaş—by a court decision, as well as the results of the election held again today.

In the renewed vote, the AKP candidate won the deputy mayor position. In the fourth round, the AKP-MHP candidate Dündar Ziya Gültekin received 23 votes, while the CHP-YENİ Party candidate Sibel Tan Çetinkaya remained at 19 votes.

The MYK decided to hold a rally in Üsküdar to protest the process that took place.
