Yılmaz Tunç announces: Ex officio investigations launched into Syria-related posts

Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç stated that they are closely and meticulously monitoring the developments in Syria in coordination with all relevant institutions of Turkey.

In a statement on his social media account, Tunç announced that ex officio investigations have been launched into provocative posts that incite the public to hatred and hostility.

Minister Tunç's statement is as follows:

"During this sensitive process, ex officio investigations have been initiated by our Public Prosecutor's Offices regarding disinformation activities conducted particularly through social media channels and provocative posts aimed at inciting the public to hatred and hostility. Regarding content that constitutes a crime, all judicial and technical measures, primarily access bans, will be implemented decisively. We will never allow misinformation, disinformation, or attempts to disrupt the peace of our society and cause chaos on social media platforms."
