Apple A20 Pro Geekbench results revealed: Outperforms Android rivals in single-core
Powering the iPhone 18 Pro series, the A20 Pro reached 4,725 points in single-core and 12,575 points in multi-core Geekbench tests.
The first Geekbench results for the A20 Pro processor, which Apple uses in its new generation iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and foldable iPhone Duo models, have been shared. Developed with a 2 nm manufacturing process, the chip has moved ahead of its Android-side rivals, particularly in single-core performance.
According to the test results, the A20 Pro scored 4,725 points in single-core and 12,575 points in multi-core. The processor, which features a six-core architecture, consists of 2 performance cores and 4 efficiency cores. The ability of the performance cores to reach 4.93 GHz has led to comments that Apple is more powerfully carrying its desktop-class architectural expertise over to the mobile side.

HIGHLIGHTS IN COMPARISON WITH RIVALS
In the comparison, it is noted that Qualcomm's new generation Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor remained at 3,434 points in single-core and 9,334 points in multi-core, despite its 5.01 GHz peak frequency. According to this data, the A20 Pro provides an advantage of approximately 38 percent in single-core and approximately 35 percent in multi-core against its Qualcomm rival.
On the MediaTek front, leaked Geekbench results for the Dimensity 9600 Pro are around 3,400 points in single-core and 12,000 points in multi-core. This table shows that Apple maintains its clear superiority in single-core, while the competition is closer in multi-core.

However, it is seen that Apple is not completely unrivaled on the multi-core side. It is reported that the 10-core Xring O3 processor found in the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max scored 3,699 points in single-core, but reached 14,350 points in multi-core, leaving the A20 Pro behind by approximately 14 percent.
The A20 Pro's graphics performance is also among the notable topics. In the Geekbench graphics test conducted on the same device, it is stated that the A20 Pro GPU scored 64,069 points. Considering the 45,683-point result of the A19 Pro in the iPhone 17 Pro Max, it is seen that the intergenerational increase on the graphics side is approaching 40 percent.
The initial tests reveal that Apple's new processor has raised the bar, especially in single-core performance. Nevertheless, different test scenarios, long-term usage results, and independent reviews will be decisive for the final assessment.
