Apple TV surprise for users in Turkey

A long-awaited step for Apple TV in Turkey is being taken. Apple has announced that it will expand the scope of its iCloud+ package to offer Apple TV and Apple Arcade services to its subscribers in Turkey at no additional cost.

With the new arrangement, users will no longer need to purchase separate subscriptions for Apple TV or Apple Arcade. Access to the services will be provided through an existing iCloud+ subscription. iCloud+ packages in Turkey start at 49.99 TL per month.

According to Apple's plan, the new system will be available in Turkey by the end of September. Apple TV will be viewable on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV 4K, as well as on supported smart televisions and game consoles.

The platform's catalog includes Apple Original productions such as Ted Lasso, Severance, Pluribus, The Studio, CODA, and F1. On the Apple Arcade side, access to more than 200 games is offered. The catalog includes titles such as Football Manager 26 Touch, NBA 2K26 Arcade Edition, Madden NFL 27 Arcade Edition, Sneaky Sasquatch, Angry Birds Reloaded, and Cooking Mama: Cuisine!

WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO EXISTING SUBSCRIPTIONS?

According to Apple's statement, Apple TV and Apple Arcade will no longer be offered as separate subscriptions in Turkey. Users who currently have a separate subscription to one of these services will have their subscriptions canceled; access will continue through iCloud+. Apple Arcade users' game saves and progress will be preserved.

The new iCloud+ package will also include a music collection called Apple Music Select. This section will provide access to ad-free stations and playlists prepared by Apple Music.

iCloud+ users who want a full Apple Music subscription will be able to take advantage of discounted options. Accordingly, the individual plan will be offered at 49.99 TL per month, and the family plan at 134.99 TL. The standard individual subscription for Apple Music is at the 89.99 TL level, while the family subscription is at 149.99 TL.

Current iCloud+ prices in Turkey are as follows:

• - 50 GB: 49.99 TL/month
• - 200 GB: 169.99 TL/month
• - 2 TB: 549.99 TL/month
• - 6 TB: 1,699.99 TL/month
• - 12 TB: 3,399.99 TL/month

Thus, a subscriber using the lowest iCloud+ package will be able to access Apple TV and Apple Arcade in addition to 50 GB of cloud storage. The iCloud+ subscription can be shared with five people in the family via the Family Sharing feature.
