Apple has introduced its first MacBook Pro models with touchscreen support. The new series is offered in 14.2-inch and 16.3-inch display options, with the company noting that users can perform actions such as scrolling, zooming, drawing, and directly controlling objects on the screen.
The company explained that the touch sensor is integrated into the display panel and that this structure aims to reduce latency. The new models are notable for marking the beginning of the touch-enabled era in Apple's laptop family aimed at professional users.

NEW DISPLAY AND HARDWARE FEATURES
The new MacBook Pros utilize a display technology called PROLED XDR. Built on a dual-layer OLED panel, the display is stated to be aimed specifically at professional workflows such as video editing, graphic design, and similar tasks, thanks to its high brightness, wide color gamut, and touchscreen support.
According to information provided by Apple, the panel, where each pixel can be independently illuminated and turned off, offers deeper blacks and more distinct contrast between bright and dark areas. The company states that this structure also reduces the light halo effect seen in backlit displays.
The display can reach a peak brightness of 2,000 nits for HDR and SDR content, and 1,000 nits of sustained brightness in full-screen use. With ProMotion support, the refresh rate can vary between 10 Hz and 120 Hz. While an anti-reflective coating is offered to increase visibility in bright environments, it was noted that reflections can be further reduced with the nano-texture option.
The Dynamic Island design has also been included at the top of the MacBook Pro's screen. Similar to its use on the iPhone, this area allows access to Spotlight search, Live Activities, and Siri; music controls and notifications can also be interacted with from this section.
The new models come with M5 Pro and M5 Max chip options. Apple announced that, along with the renewed thermal architecture, the devices offer performance increases in intensive workloads such as artificial intelligence operations, 3D modeling, and high-resolution video editing, while providing up to 24 hours of battery life.
On the connectivity side, there are three Thunderbolt 5 ports, HDMI, MagSafe 3, an SDXC card slot, and a headphone jack. The models also feature Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 support, as well as a 12-megapixel Center Stage camera.
The new MacBook Pro models, which will be available in space black and silver color options, have been announced for release on November 6. In Turkey, the starting price for the 14-inch model will be 199,999 TL, and the starting price for the 16-inch model will be 234,999 TL.
