Expected date for Apple's next-generation smart glasses leaked

A new timeline claim has emerged regarding Apple's long-discussed first smart glasses suitable for daily use. According to information shared by Bloomberg editor Mark Gurman, the company aims to introduce the device at the WWDC conference to be held in June 2027.

The product in question is expected to be one of Apple's new moves in the field of wearable technology. It is stated that the company is working on a structure that will compete with prominent models in the market such as Meta Ray-Ban, and it is suggested that the device could meet consumers towards the end of 2027.

PRIVACY WILL BE ONE OF THE MAIN HEADLINES

According to Gurman, Apple plans to make user privacy one of the core marketing elements of the smart glasses. In this context, it is claimed that prototype studies are being conducted for some new hardware and software-based privacy features that are not present in existing Apple products.

One of the most debated topics regarding smart glasses is the possibility of recording people in the vicinity without permission. It is alleged that Apple is evaluating different camera options to reduce these concerns; it is working on prototypes with cameras that only support artificial intelligence features but do not record photos or videos. It is even stated that models without cameras are also being considered.

On the other hand, it is reported that the final product is more likely to come with a camera system, but it will be supported by protective measures consistent with Apple's known privacy approach. The device is expected to offer functions such as listening to music, making phone calls, and listening to notifications transmitted by Siri, thanks to its speaker and microphone system.
