Google introduces interface coding tool Google Stitch!
The new interface development tool called Google Stitch is powered by Gemini 2.5 Pro technology, offering ease of use to developers and aiming to prevent the preference for competitors like Figma.
Powered by Gemini 2.5 Pro, Google Stitch currently only accepts English commands and accelerates the design process by converting themes and natural language instructions received from the user into complex interface designs.
WHAT IS STITCH?
Stitch allows developers to create functional UI designs and front-end code in a short time using only text commands and visual examples. Instead of coding the interface from scratch or designing visual components one by one, with Stitch, developers can:
- Select themes,
- Provide UI descriptions using natural language, currently only in English,
- Define details such as color palettes and user experience,
- Provide guidance by uploading wireframes, sketches, or other interface screenshots.
DESIGN AND CODE GENERATED SIMULTANEOUSLY
Google emphasizes that Stitch not only creates visual designs but also generates front-end code that can be directly integrated into the application. The generated designs can be exported to Figma, allowing developers and designers to collaboratively edit the interface.
Additionally, Stitch offers multiple design variations, enabling easy comparison between different styles and layouts.
