Turkey has the highest price for Apple's foldable iPhone Duo: 137 percent more expensive than the US

The iPhone Duo, the first foldable iPhone model introduced at Apple's latest launch, has become a topic of discussion as much for its price as for its technical specifications. The starting price of the model, which is expected to go on sale in October, was announced as 1,999 dollars in the US. In Turkey, the device's starting price is at the 229,000 TL level.

According to a dollar-based comparison, Turkey is the country where the iPhone Duo will be sold at the highest price. While the Turkey price corresponds to approximately 4,744 dollars, this amount was calculated to be approximately 137 percent higher than the US price. It is stated that exchange rates and tax burdens are the determining factors in the price difference.

MOST EXPENSIVE AND CHEAPEST COUNTRIES

Turkey was followed by Brazil with a price of 4,311 dollars. India ranked third with 3,153 dollars, and Mexico ranked fourth with 2,843 dollars. It was reported that the price is at the 2,723 dollar level in some European Union countries such as Spain, France, and Belgium.

At the other end of the list, the US was the country where the iPhone Duo will be sold the cheapest. The US was followed by Canada with 2,173 dollars, Hong Kong with 2,231 dollars, the United Arab Emirates with 2,314 dollars, and Malaysia with 2,336 dollars.

The higher capacity option of the model also draws attention in Turkey. It is stated that the price of the version of the iPhone Duo with 2 TB of storage space in Turkey is 335,999 TL. This price level makes the device one of the most expensive phones in the Turkish market.
