THE INDIVIDUAL HAD GIVEN A SPEECH AT THE FACILITIES!
Meanwhile, new details have been reached regarding the individual under investigation. Footage has emerged of the person, allegedly nicknamed "Japon Şenel," stating, "Our culture includes kindness, decency, manners, compassion, conscience, and respect" during a speech at the Gençlerbirliği facilities.
Volkan Demirel, who once managed Gençlerbirliği, was also seen alongside the individual.
APOLOGY FROM GENÇLERBİRLİĞİ
Following the incident, the Gençlerbirliği Sports Club issued an official statement.
In the statement from the red-and-black club, it was expressed that the disrespect in question was not only directed at the child but also at the club's history.
The statement from Gençlerbirliği, which announced that they would like to host the young fan at their facilities wearing their Fenerbahçe jersey, included the following:
"We are deeply saddened by the footage from today's match showing an attempt to remove the Fenerbahçe jersey worn by a child. This disrespect was not only directed at a young Fenerbahçe fan but also at the 103-year history of Gençlerbirliği. This incident is consistent with neither the values of football nor the fan culture of Gençlerbirliği. Especially when a small child is involved, this is clearly an unacceptable behavior. For us, a child wearing the jersey of an opposing team is, above all, our own child. We condemn this isolated incident and share the sadness experienced by our young Fenerbahçe fan and their family. We emphasize that we stand by every spectator's right to feel safe in the stands and by the love of football. We present to the public that we will follow up on this unfortunate incident and that we would like to host our young child at our facilities as soon as possible, wearing the jersey of the team they support."
DETAINED
The stadium bully who targeted the 4-year-old child was detained as part of the investigation launched against him.
