Başakşehir player Emirhan İlkhan spoke after the Fenerbahçe match.
In his statement, Emirhan İlkhan said, "We fought well for 90 minutes. We received an unexpected red card. The process after that became very difficult. It is hard to compete against Fenerbahçe with 10 men. We did our best. I didn't see whether it was a penalty or not. We were defeated 1-0 by an unlucky penalty. It is easier to call penalties for big teams. We are not extras in this league. We fought for 90 minutes. The result ended 1-0. We will leave the Konyaspor match with 3 points."
Emirhan İlkhan also added, "We are a physically prepared team. With the tactics given by our coach, we made the defense a five-man line and closed the channels. Fenerbahçe was bound to find chances, and they did... With a good defensive performance, we didn't concede a goal until the penalty. If it weren't for the penalty, maybe we wouldn't have conceded again and would have taken 1 point. We are sad."
