League leaders Galatasaray come from behind to beat Göztepe

In the 10th week of the Süper Lig, Galatasaray hosted Göztepe at home. In the match played at Rams Park, Galatasaray defeated their opponent with a score of 3-1. The hosts, who reached the victory without much difficulty after Göztepe was reduced to 10 men, displayed an effective performance and secured an important three points.

At the beginning of the match, in the 6th minute, Göztepe took a 1-0 lead with a goal from Efkan Bekiroğlu. However, Galatasaray managed to come from behind and leveled the score in the 19th minute with a goal from Victor Osimhen. In the second half, with goals scored by Gabriel Sara in the 63rd minute and Mauro Icardi in the 66th minute, Galatasaray won the match 3-1.

BOKELE SEES RED CARD FOR GÖZTEPE

For Göztepe, Bokele was sent off after receiving his second yellow card following a challenge with Victor Osimhen in the 42nd minute. The red card decision by referee Oğuzhan Çakır became a subject of debate. Reduced to 10 men, Göztepe struggled to turn the match around in the second half.

GALATASARAY MAINTAINS THEIR LEAD 

With this victory, Galatasaray rose to 28 points and maintained their lead. Göztepe remained in 5th place with 16 points. While Galatasaray sits at the top of the league, Göztepe will look to close the points gap with the teams in the top 4.

GALATASARAY'S NEXT OPPONENT IS TRABZONSPOR

In the next week, Galatasaray will host their closest rival, Trabzonspor, at home. Göztepe will host Gençlerbirliği.
