Arda Turan, who has taken charge of Shakhtar Donetsk, made ambitious statements about Dynamo Kyiv during his first press conference in Ukraine. Turan said, "I know that Dynamo Kyiv is a strong opponent and I have great respect for them. However, my goal is to not let them become Ukrainian champions ever again."
The response to these statements from Dynamo Kyiv's experienced player Andriy Yarmolenko was not long in coming. Yarmolenko stated, "These words are an indication that we are on the right track. The first thing a new coach coming to Shakhtar did was to talk about Dynamo Kyiv."
