A new claim has been added regarding the next destination of Mauro Icardi, who has left Galatasaray. It has been stated that Rayo Vallecano, one of the Spanish La Liga teams, has added the 33-year-old Argentine center-forward to their agenda.
Speaking on Radio Mitre, Spanish journalist Roberto Antolin announced that the Madrid-based club is interested in Icardi. The report suggests that Icardi has begun looking for a house in Madrid with his partner China Suarez, and this development has strengthened the possibility of a move to Rayo Vallecano.
However, it was also noted that there are some question marks regarding the transfer. It was reported that Rayo Vallecano wants to evaluate Icardi's physical condition following his injury and the situation regarding his relationship with the media before taking any official steps.
Having played 134 matches in four seasons with the Galatasaray jersey, Icardi delivered a performance of 77 goals and 25 assists for the yellow-red team. The uncertainty surrounding the Argentine footballer's future continues to be one of the notable headlines of the transfer window.
