Revolutionary proposal for football from former UEFA president Platini

Former UEFA president and former footballer Michel Platini has made a striking proposal, arguing that football needs to change. Speaking to RMC Sport, Platini said that his generation does not watch football matches anymore and that the game needs to evolve.
In his statement, Platini said, "Perhaps a team should consist of 10 players. In 1900, football was played 11 against 11, but back then, players ran less and slower. Therefore, reducing the number of players could be a good thing."
Continuing his statement, Platini said, "People of my generation don't really watch football anymore because they can't find themselves in the game. Today, we make more passes than in the past; there is too much passing in possession-based play. I'm not criticizing it. But people from my generation who have experienced more attacking football don't understand this."
