Search for a new manager at Karşıyaka: Preliminary talks held with Zafer Uysal
Following the resignation of Burhanettin Basatemür, Karşıyaka has made its first contact with Zafer Uysal as the club continues its search for a new manager.
The search for a new manager continues at TFF 3rd League Group 2 team Karşıyaka. Club President Yiğit Tusder announced in a statement on his social media account that a preliminary meeting was held with Zafer Uysal regarding the managerial position, but that no agreement has been reached at this stage.
The official separation process with Burhanettin Basatemür, who resigned following the Gaziemirspor match, is expected to be completed once the necessary documents are signed.
Following Basatemür's decision to leave, many names have come to the fore within the Karşıyaka management, which has accelerated its efforts to find a new manager. It was stated that Zafer Uysal, who coached Balıkesirspor last season, has emerged as a leading candidate.
It was learned that the initial meeting with Uysal, who previously served at Karşıyaka as both a player and a coach, went positively. It was stated that the management is in contact with other managers in addition to Uysal, and that the new name is expected to be finalized shortly.
