TFF President Hacıosmanoğlu unable to attend Galatasaray's trophy ceremony: Otyakmaz presented the cup

Galatasaray, which finished the season as champions in the Süper Lig, received its trophy at a major celebration in Yenikapı. One of the most anticipated aspects of the ceremony was who would present the cup. While it was expected that Turkish Football Federation (TFF) President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu would be on stage, he was unable to attend the ceremony due to the passing of his aunt.

Hacıosmanoğlu, who attended his aunt's funeral in the Of district of Trabzon, had previously stated, "There is no situation that would prevent me from going." However, plans changed during the day, and TFF 2nd Vice President Mecnun Otyakmaz took on the duty of presenting the trophy.

OTYAKMAZ PRESENTED THE CUP

The championship trophy was presented to the yellow-reds by Otyakmaz in place of Hacıosmanoğlu. The public expectation regarding the ceremony was met with this last-minute change in duty.

HE HAD BEEN PROTESTED IN THE PAST

As it will be recalled, Hacıosmanoğlu was protested in recent months at the Turkish Cup ceremony that Galatasaray won in Gaziantep, and he had taken the field under the whistling of the stands.
