Statement from TFF President Mehmet Büyükekşi regarding Arda Güler

Turkish Football Federation (TFF) President Mehmet Büyükekşi, along with İbrahim Burkay, Mustafa Eröğüt, and Hamit Altıntop, followed the training session at the facility where the National Football Team is camping and subsequently held a chat meeting with members of the press.

Emphasizing that the National Team's primary goal is to advance from the group stage, Büyükekşi stated, "We started the European Championship with a victory by winning the Georgia match. We lost our second match, but the 3 points we earned in the first encounter ensured that a win or a draw would be enough for us to reach the round of 16 in the Czechia match. Our team is working in extremely good conditions at one of the best facilities in Germany. Their unity and friendship are also at a high level. We trust our head coach Montella and our team, and we wholeheartedly believe that they will win the Czechia match as well."

Pointing out that fans in Germany have shown intense interest in the team, Büyükekşi noted the following:

"In the 'fan walk' organizations held before every match, nearly 50 thousand of our citizens walk to the stadium wearing red-and-white national team jerseys and carrying Turkish flags. They pack the stadium to the rafters. We painted the Dortmund Stadium red and white, now it is time to paint the Hamburg Stadium red and white."

Expressing that the bond between the technical staff and the players is also very strong, Büyükekşi said, "There is an extremely good communication between Montella and all our players. We all laugh off those who try to engage in disinformation and manipulation as if there were an atmosphere to the contrary. Both Arda and Montella laugh it off."
