TFF issues warning to Ankaragücü and 2 other clubs: 'I will close the stadium'
The Turkish Football Federation has called on Ankaragücü, along with Kayserispor and Rizespor, to improve their pitch conditions and has issued a formal warning.
The Turkish Football Federation has taken action due to pitch problems at stadiums where many clubs in the Trendyol Süper Lig play their matches.
Having previously sent a letter to all clubs requesting that they prioritize pitch maintenance, the TFF has now specifically warned three clubs in the Süper Lig.
The TFF has issued a warning to Ankaragücü, Kayserispor, and Rizespor to urgently accelerate the maintenance of their stadium pitches.
The clubs have been informed that if the pitches do not reach the required standard, matches will not be allowed to be played at these stadiums.
ANKARAGÜCÜ, GENÇLERBİRLİĞİ DECISION
The TFF has granted permission for Ankaragücü to play its matches at Eryaman Stadium. As Ankaragücü is a Süper Lig team, the responsibility for the pitch lies with this club.
WARNING TO GENÇLERBİRLİĞİ: "FIND ANOTHER STADIUM"
To ensure the pitch is not affected by heavy match traffic, the TFF has notified the 1st League team Gençlerbirliği, which also uses the stadium, that they must play their matches at a different venue.
