Yusuf Dikeç's new profession has been revealed
Yusuf Dikeç, who gained worldwide fame for his shooting style at Paris 2024, has taken on an R&D consultancy role in collaboration with Derya Arms.
National shooter Yusuf Dikeç, who captured the attention of a wide audience with his unique shooting style at the Paris 2024 Olympics, is bringing his expertise from his athletic career into the defense industry and weapons technology sector.
As part of a strategic partnership with domestic arms manufacturer Derya Arms, Dikeç will serve as an R&D consultant. The national athlete is expected to contribute his more than 25 years of shooting experience to the design and development processes of new products.
Within the scope of this collaboration, projects focused on defense technologies, in addition to sporting shooting equipment, are on the agenda. The goal is to combine Dikeç's field experience with domestic engineering efforts.
One of the prominent projects will be a domestic anti-drone rifle suitable for both manual and vehicle-mounted use. The system, which will be developed against unmanned aerial vehicles, aims to provide a domestic alternative for military and tactical needs.
It was also stated that Dikeç views the use of equipment developed with domestic resources by Turkish athletes in international competitions as an important goal. The projects are also expected to contribute to establishing more accessible standards for young shooters.
