Countdown for high-speed train: Travel time between 3 major cities to drop to 2 hours and 15 minutes
Work on the Osmaneli-Bursa section of the Bandırma–Bursa–Yenişehir–Osmaneli High-Speed Train Project is nearing completion. Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that test drives will begin shortly and stated that once the line is completed, travel time between Bursa-Ankara and Bursa-Istanbul will be reduced to 2 hours and 15 minutes.
Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that work on the Osmaneli-Bursa section of the Bandırma–Bursa–Yenişehir–Osmaneli High-Speed Train Project has reached the final stage. Uraloğlu stated that test drives will begin in a short time.
In a written statement, Uraloğlu noted that the 201-kilometer-long Bandırma-Bursa-Yenişehir-Osmaneli High-Speed Train Line is being built for a design speed of 250 kilometers per hour.
Uraloğlu said, "We are implementing our 201-kilometer-long Bandırma-Bursa-Yenişehir-Osmaneli High-Speed Train Line with a design speed of 250 kilometers per hour. The entire line will have the capacity to serve approximately 30 million passengers and 59 million tons of freight traffic annually."

TRAVEL TIME TO DROP TO 2 HOURS AND 15 MINUTES
Minister Uraloğlu stated that with the completion of the 106-kilometer Osmaneli-Bursa section, Bursa will be directly connected to the high-speed train network.
Uraloğlu explained, "When this section is completed, a train departing from Bursa will connect to the Ankara–Istanbul High-Speed Train line via Osmaneli. Thus, approximately 3.2 million more people will gain direct access to the high-speed train network. Travel time between Bursa-Ankara and Bursa-Istanbul will drop to 2 hours and 15 minutes."
TEST DRIVES TO BEGIN
Stating that the work has reached the final stage, Uraloğlu also provided information regarding the testing process.
Uraloğlu said, "We will soon begin test drives on this section. With the test drives we will conduct, we will comprehensively check all systems of the line and make it ready for operation. After the completion of the tests, we will bring Bursa together with the high-speed train network."
