Swimming banned in 2 provinces
Swimming has been banned at some beaches in Sakarya and Kocaeli due to adverse weather conditions.
Swimming has been banned in the Karasu, Kaynarca, and Kocaali districts of Sakarya, which have coastlines on the Black Sea, due to adverse weather and sea conditions.
Following the decision taken by the district governorates, the Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality lifeguard teams on duty at the beaches changed the warning flags to red and informed citizens not to enter the sea.
In the Kandıra district of Kocaeli, swimming will also not be permitted at some beaches for similar reasons. According to the Governor's Office statement, due to unfavorable weather and sea conditions, swimming has been banned at Babalı, Dikili, Tuzağzı, and Cebeci beaches as of 10:00 today.
Authorities have requested that citizens only swim in areas where lifeguard services are provided and where there is no ban, and that they do not go beyond the areas marked by buoys and floats.
