In Iraq, 6 people identified as members of the terrorist organization ISIS have been sentenced to death.

According to a statement from the National Security Service reported by the official Iraqi news agency INA, the decision was made by the Karkh Criminal Court. The statement noted that among those convicted was a high-ranking official known as ISIS's "Governor of Anbar."

The National Security Service reported that the suspects were found guilty of "committing terrorist crimes and armed acts." According to the statement, the individuals were captured as a result of preventive intelligence operations conducted by agency personnel and were referred to judicial authorities.

It was stated that during the investigation process, it was determined that the defendants were members of ISIS, participated in armed attacks, and possessed weapons for the purpose of disrupting security and stability.
