Afghanistan's Minister of Refugees and Repatriation Haqqani killed in suicide attack
Minister of Refugees and Repatriation Khalil ur-Rahman Haqqani has lost his life in a suicide attack targeting the Afghan Ministry of Refugees.

Minister of Refugees and Repatriation Khalil ur-Rahman Haqqani lost his life in the attack.
In a statement issued by the Taliban administration, it was confirmed that Haqqani died in the attack, and it was stated that the attack was carried out by the terrorist organization ISIS.
The statement issued by the Afghan Ministry of Interior said, "It is with deep sorrow that we learned that the Minister of Refugees and Repatriation of the Islamic Emirate was killed in a cowardly attack this afternoon. He was a member of a great family on whose head a 5 million dollar bounty was placed by the enemies of Islam. But unfortunately, today he was killed by Kharijites who call themselves Muslims and declare other Muslims outside of themselves as infidels."
Haqqani was born in 1966 in the country's eastern province of Paktia.
Haqqani and his brother Jalaluddin Haqqani were senior members of the Islamic Emirate and played significant roles in the wars waged against the former Soviet Union and coalition forces over the past decades.
