In the investigation into the armed attack that took place on October 23 near the French capital, Paris, which resulted in one death, it has been announced that the suspect admitted to acting with racist motives.
France's National Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor, Olivier Christen, stated that the 39-year-old suspect, identified as Kevin T., carried out the attack intentionally. According to Christen, the suspect confessed to targeting people who "appeared to be Muslim, African, or North African."
It was also noted that the suspect explained to the prosecution his reasoning for choosing Trappes as the location for the attack. It was recorded that Kevin T. viewed this area as, in his own words, a "bastion of Islamists."
HITLER'S BOOK FOUND IN HIS HOME
During a search of the suspect's home as part of the investigation, it was announced that in addition to weapons and weapon parts, a copy of Adolf Hitler's book Mein Kampf was found. Information shared by the prosecution also included that the suspect had been receiving psychiatric treatment for many years and had been a heavy drug user since adolescence.
It was reported that blood tests conducted after the attack revealed traces of cocaine, cannabis, and antidepressant medication in the suspect's system. However, it was stated that during his interrogation, the suspect denied the allegation that he had terrorist intent, claiming instead that he viewed his actions as "legitimate."

According to the prosecution, the suspect argued that he did not target children in the attack. It was stated that the suspect, who suggested he "might have mistaken the 11-year-old child for an adult due to his height," nevertheless claimed he felt no remorse for his actions.
Pengo Bossio Wangi lost his life as a result of shots fired from an automatic weapon from a car passing through the settlements of Trappes and La Verriere, west of Paris, and seven people, including a child, were injured. The attacker was taken into custody shortly after the incident, and a machine gun and tear gas grenades were found in his vehicle.

French President Emmanuel Macron condemned the attack, describing it as a "racist terrorist attack." An investigation is being conducted into the suspect, who is a French citizen, for murder and attempted murder committed with terrorist links and racist motives.
