Date set for the reopening of Damascus Airport to international flights
Damascus Airport, which was closed due to the attacks led by the jihadist group HTS that began in Syria on November 27, will resume international flights on January 7. The airport had previously reopened on December 18, 2024.
It has been reported that Damascus International Airport in the Syrian capital will be opened to international flights.
Speaking to the Syrian News Agency (SANA), the head of the Civil Aviation and Air Transport Authority, Ashhad Salibi, stated that Damascus International Airport will open for international flights on January 7.
Salibi noted that they are continuing preparations for the resumption of operations at the Aleppo and Damascus airports, adding, "With the help of our partners, we are ensuring that these airports have the capacity to accommodate flights from all over the world."
