Houthis announce drone attack on Najran Airport in Saudi Arabia
The Houthis in Yemen have announced that they struck a “sensitive target” at Najran Airport in southern Saudi Arabia.
The Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen have announced that they targeted Najran Airport in southern Saudi Arabia with a kamikaze unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).
Houthi spokesperson Yahya Saree claimed in a statement on the social media platform X that a “sensitive target” at the airport in Najran province was struck. Saree alleged that the attack successfully reached its target.

Saree justified the attack by claiming that Saudi Arabian UAVs had violated Yemeni airspace over the cities of Saada and Hajjah. In his statement, he said, “We emphasize to the Saudi enemy that no violation of our airspace will go unanswered or unpunished.”
The Houthis did not provide details regarding what the “sensitive target” they claimed to have hit was. There has been no official statement from Saudi Arabian authorities regarding the alleged attack.
