It was reported that three women aged 19, 24, and 36 were injured in the attack. The attacker was neutralized and pinned to the ground with the intervention of an off-duty police officer, and was later taken into custody by the police.

French Interior Minister Laurent Nunez announced that two of the injured are in serious condition but are not in life-threatening danger. Nunez described the intervention of the off-duty police officer who stopped the attacker as "a brave act."

MOTIVE FOR THE ATTACK UNDER INVESTIGATION

In the footage shared on social media, the attacker could be heard saying, "God commanded me to do this," while on the ground. Interior Minister Nunez stated that the motive for the attack has not yet been determined, the suspect's identity has not been verified, and his statements during detention were "inconsistent."

It was noted that the French National Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor's Office is evaluating whether to open a terrorism investigation into the incident.
