New clash in Russia following synagogue and church attacks
Following the simultaneous attacks that took place in Russia's Dagestan region in recent days, a new clash broke out this evening between security forces and armed individuals.
While the investigation continues into the simultaneous terrorist attacks carried out on June 23 against a synagogue, two churches, and a police checkpoint in the Republic of Dagestan, a constituent republic of Russia, a new clash broke out between security forces and armed individuals at University Square this evening.
Following the clash, the regional administration warned residents not to go outside, stating, "Unrest has once again emerged in the city. We ask you not to go outside. Please be careful."
While no information regarding deaths or injuries in the attack has been shared yet, local sources stated that the area where the clash occurred has been blockaded.
On the other hand, a total of 21 people, including 16 police officers and 5 civilians, lost their lives in the terrorist attacks carried out in Dagestan on June 23.
