Objection to the prisoner exchange agreement reached with Hamas
It has been reported that the Israeli far-right Almagor Terror Victims Association has taken the prisoner exchange agreement made with Hamas to the Supreme Court, filing an objection.
In a report by the Israeli state television KAN, it was stated that the association in question submitted a petition of objection to the Supreme Court against the prisoner exchange agreement.
The report, which noted that it is unlikely for the Supreme Court to cancel the agreement, did not provide further details on the matter.
The Israeli cabinet discussed and voted on the prisoner exchange agreement with Hamas during a meeting that lasted approximately 6 hours last night.
It was reported that far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir voted "no" to the prisoner exchange agreement during the meeting.
