In the West African nation of Liberia, the public is struggling with the rising cost of living, and there is backlash against the salaries received by government officials. In the country, approximately one in every five people lives on less than 2 dollars a day.

Last week in Liberia, some members of parliament arrived at the parliament building on three-wheeled motorcycles to protest the non-payment of their vehicle allowances.
