Slovak Prime Minister Fico's condition remains serious
Slovak Health Minister Zuzana Dolinkova, in a statement regarding Prime Minister Robert Fico's health, said, "Prime Minister Fico's condition is stable but still remains serious."
Slovak Health Minister Zuzana Dolinkova held a press conference regarding the health status of Prime Minister Robert Fico, who was attacked.
Speaking in front of the hospital in the city of Banska Bystrica where Fico is being treated, Dolinkova said, "Prime Minister Fico's condition is stable but still remains serious."
Dolinkova stated that during a 2-hour surgery performed yesterday, dead tissue was removed from the areas with gunshot wounds, and the surgery contributed positively to Prime Minister Fico's condition.
NOT SUITABLE FOR TRANSFER
Slovak Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Robert Kalinak said that Prime Minister Fico's health condition is not suitable for him to be transferred from Banska Bystrica to the capital, Bratislava, in the coming days.
Kalinak noted that communication with Prime Minister Fico is quite limited, but the Slovak government continues to work as planned in Fico's absence.
