Trump’s angry response to health question: Tells reporter ‘You’re sick, you look terrible’

U.S. President Donald Trump had a tense exchange with Reuters reporter Jacob Bogage while answering questions from journalists upon his return to Joint Base Andrews following a rally in South Carolina.

Bogage asked Trump if his decision not to attend a rally planned for Republican Senatör Roger Marshall in Kansas was related to fatigue from his travels. Angered by the question, Trump retorted to the reporter, saying, "You’re sick for asking that question, you’re sick."

Upon learning that the reporter worked for Reuters, Trump also targeted the news agency, saying, "Reuters is terrible anyway." Trump rejected the implication regarding his health, emphasizing that he felt fine.

Press statements made during the travels of political leaders frequently create headlines.

Addressing the reporter, who he said had been following him for the past two weeks, Trump stated, "You’ve been following me for two weeks, I feel perfect. Get yourself in shape, you look terrible."

Trump denied the claim of a health issue in his statement.

Not attributing the cancellation of the Kansas program to health reasons, Trump said he decided not to attend the rally because he believed Senatör Roger Marshall’s campaign was going well.

Trump also noted that he would hold a tele-rally instead of the event in Kansas and would attend an event in Florida the following day.
