Trump's comments on UAE and Putin: I proposed a small ceasefire, he may make an announcement in this direction

Saying that they also discussed these with Putin, Trump said, "Putin also does not want to see Iran possess nuclear weapons. I had a long conversation with Putin. I proposed a small ceasefire. He can do it. He may make an announcement in this direction."

When asked by reporters whether Putin had declared a ceasefire, Trump said, "Even a small ceasefire is important because too many people are dying. This is truly ridiculous."

Trump was asked whether the Iran war or the war in Ukraine would end first regarding his meeting with Putin. Trump said, "An interesting question. I don't know. Maybe they will end in similar timeframes. But I think Ukraine is defeated militarily."

Not answering directly how much longer the blockade on Iran might last, Trump said, "The blockade is ingenious. It is one hundred percent perfect. It shows how strong our navy is."

Trump said, "Now all they have to do is surrender. It is enough for them to say 'We give up.' Their economy is in very bad shape. It is a dead economy."

"There will never be a deal without accepting that there will be no nuclear weapons"

Regarding the status of negotiations with Iran, Trump said, "We are having talks, but we are no longer flying for 18 hours for every document. We are talking by phone. I make a call or my team makes one and we get the answer. Of course, I would prefer to meet face-to-face. But flying 18 hours every time and already knowing what they are going to say... It is ridiculous."

When asked what he thought about the United Arab Emirates (UAE) leaving the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), Trump replied, "I think it's great, really great."

Stating that he knows the UAE leader (President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan) very well, Trump said, "I think he wants to follow his own path. That is a good thing.
