US lifts sanctions on Shara and Interior Minister
The United States (US) Department of the Treasury has reportedly removed interim Syrian President Ahmed Shara and Interior Minister Anas al-Hattab from its sanctions list.
According to reports from the official Syrian state television channel Al-Ekhbariya, the US has lifted sanctions on Shara and Interior Minister al-Hattab.
The United Nations Security Council had adopted a resolution on November 6 requesting the lifting of sanctions against Shara and Interior Minister Anas al-Hattab.
