The electric sedan, which will be the first to be produced under the Afeela brand, is planned to be launched in 2025 and will have a price tag of 61,500 euros.
It was stated that the model will have more than 45 sensors and cameras and will utilize Qualcomm's Snapdragon processor with 800 TOPS of computing capacity for technologies such as ADAS and infotainment. To balance the Afeela brand's pricing policy, it was announced that the company will add a compact electric model to the series in 2028. Sony Honda Mobility confirmed that all three vehicles will share the same platform to keep costs low and accelerate development.
It is stated that technologies such as autonomous driving and in-vehicle gaming are made possible thanks to Sony's partnership with Epic Games. According to industry experts, sales are increasing, with more than 10 million electric cars hitting the roads in 2023.
