The instrumentalized judiciary and law turned into a weapon

                         THE INSTRUMENTALIZED JUDICIARY AND LAW TURNED INTO A WEAPON

Nation-states are the institutional guarantees that allow oppressed nations to maintain their freedom and independence. For this reason, the political architecture of the Republic of Turkey was constructed based on the unitary structure of the nation-state. The nation-state was a necessity imposed by history to ensure that the independence won at a heavy cost would not be lost in a short time, and that the country would not return to the days of the Ottoman collapse.

The nation-state, with its national economy, national bureaucracy, national army, independent finance, contemporary goals, and a free and self-confident public, was a necessary condition for survival in a world of wolves. The Turkish War of Independence was a model of liberation for oppressed nations, and the Republic of Turkey was a model of foundation. Atatürk, meanwhile, was the symbol of both the liberation and the foundation, and the hero of the East.

Imperialism could never stomach the Republic of Turkey, the model of liberation and foundation for oppressed nations, or its leader. The role assigned to Turkey after the Second World War in a bipolar world, the economic and political prescription handed to it, and the roadmap drawn for it did not align with the architecture of October 29, 1923. Having entered the sphere of influence of the West, Turkey, as a peripheral country of the Cold War era, occupies a different place in the eyes of oppressed nations than it did during the Atatürk era.

However, although economic preferences and centers of economic and political power have begun to change, the institutional and bureaucratic effects of the nation-state unitary structure and the founding equation of October 29, 1923, persist. State institutionalism, led by the Turkish Armed Forces, as well as the public's national sensitivity, historical consciousness, and passion for existing as a nation, continue to exist as institutional, public, and emotional obstacles to the imperial liquidation project.

Imperialism could not wait any longer to create a Turkey suitable for the Greater Middle East Project. However, it was impossible to realize the imperial project without plunging the country into political, social, and psychological turbulence; without overturning constitutional institutions, traditional bureaucracy, and the judicial hierarchy—especially the TSK (Turkish Armed Forces)—through finely crafted, systematic social engineering; and without liquidating the individuals and institutions that insisted on remaining loyal to the country's founding philosophy. In that case, the task to be done was clear. A political authority that was extremely compatible with them and ready for cooperation would be backed, and the TSK, which resisted the Greater Middle East Project (BOP), would be ruthlessly punished.

In the recent past, the operations presented as the liquidation of coup plotters were constructed in the deep laboratories of the imperial center as deceptive justifications for the liquidation of the nation-state and its unitary structure in line with the BOP. The detentions that began one after another, the coup plans presented to the public with terrifying scenarios, and cases such as Ergenekon, Balyoz (Sledgehammer), the Assassination of Admirals, and Military Espionage should be evaluated as smoke screens for the imperial liquidation project described above.

The Silivri Trials, carried out with the support of a wide spectrum ranging from the community members who turned into the fifth column of imperialism to colonial leftists, funded liberals, and ethnic separatists, would serve as camouflage for the liquidation to be carried out through an instrumentalized judiciary and law turned into a weapon!

In the occupied Istanbul of the 1920s, the British-designed Divan-ı Harbi Örfi (Martial Law Court) was ordered to act as the executioner of the Defenders of Law (Müdafaa-i Hukuk). The spiritual heirs of Nemrut Mustafa, the cursed name of the Divan-ı Harbi Örfi, the disciples of FETÖ, also carried out the duty of being the executioners of the Republicans of the 2000s in the Silivri Inquisition!
