The reason for the demographic catastrophe we are experiencing is the political power's historical blindness. We are talking about the destruction caused by a mindset incapable of grasping the demographic catastrophe that would be triggered by millions of people being directed to a country with completely different language, culture, and historical roots, compared to the 186 people who migrated from the Arab city of Mecca to the neighboring city of Medina, where the inhabitants spoke Arabic.
What has happened to us are the natural consequences of the actions of a mindset that is ignorant of A Short History of the World and General Turkish History, has zero knowledge of political history, and views the War of Independence and the Republic from a distorted perspective. The 1300-year-old metaphor of Ansar/Muhajir has been used as a consciousness-numbing syringe to make the presence of over 10 million foreigners in the country permanent. We are experiencing a crisis of being in power but unable to govern, which is the natural result of a lack of understanding of the process and a tissue incompatibility with the founding philosophy of the Republic of Turkey. We are talking about a political tsunami caused by the use of the 1300-year-old Ansar/Muhajir metaphor as a consciousness-numbing syringe to make the presence of over 10 million foreigners in the country permanent.
The point to which a political schizophrenia, detached from reality, objectivity, historicity, and the founding equation based on a nation-state and unitary structure, has dragged Turkey is terrifying. The fact that Friday sermons given for the last 10 years, statements by the President of Religious Affairs, and the situation in Kayseri and in the regions of northern Syria under Turkey's control were all suddenly reset at once is a striking indicator of how baseless the Ansar/Muhajir approach is. International relations are conducted through realpolitik, not schizophrenic dreams. It is truly tragic where the “Strategic Madness,” hailed as “Strategic Depth,” which threw the Arab Policy that the Republic of Turkey had formed in line with lessons learned from history into the trash, has dragged Turkey.
Another tragic aspect of the matter is that while historical drama heroes, especially on TRT, are running wild in Syria, Iraq, and Iran, in real life, the systematic destruction of the Turkish ethnicity, which is a legacy of the Seljuks and Ottomans in these countries, is being watched as a bystander. It is impossible to protect the prestige of a state that cannot even keep the Tomb of Suleyman Shah, which is considered Turkish soil, in its place in Syria, through series like “Diriliş Ertuğrul,” “Kuruluş Osman,” and “Alparslan.” The response given by the counterparts to Turkey's use of bully slang, which is not based on power and is not taken seriously, as a language of diplomacy instead of the state language, has been very painful and humiliating.
Turkey's lack of calculation and its use of lumpen slang not based on power and realpolitik have been met with the dispersal of the Turkish presence just beyond our borders, the dispossession of their properties, and the transformation of those areas into the sovereign territory of a separatist terrorist organization! The process of changing and transforming the demographic structure of the regions where Turkish/Turkmen tribes and urban Turkmens live densely in Iraq and Syria has been silently watched by Turkey!
The political power must now accept that the founding of the Republic of Turkey on the basis of a nation-state, unitary structure, and Turkishness has nothing to do with a chauvinistic, monolithic mindset, and that the necessary equation for existing in this geography is a political architecture formed with lessons learned from history.
The duty and responsibility to eliminate the demographic catastrophe that the country is facing, which will destroy the founding equation based on a nation-state and unitary structure, before it becomes even more permanent and entrenched, rests on the shoulders of the political power!
Turkey has two choices before it. Either remain as the Republic of Turkey based on a nation-state and unitary structure, or turn into a postmodern Tower of Babel filled with millions who do not understand each other and have no common values.
The first choice is the necessary condition for the Republic of Turkey and the Turkish existence to remain eternal. The second choice will mean nothing more than adding a new pit and a new stone to the graveyard of nations whose names have been forgotten in Anatolia from prehistoric times to the present!
