Films from Shaw Brothers Studio are now on MUBI
A special selection titled "Shaw Brothers: Wuxia Warriors and Kung Fu Masters," consisting of 14 films from the Shaw Brothers Studio—which changed the course of Chinese cinema and served as an inspiration for Hollywood—is now meeting cinema lovers on MUBI.
The "Shaw Brothers: Wuxia Warriors and Kung Fu Masters" selection, featuring acclaimed films from the pioneering Asian film studio Shaw Brothers, offers viewers an opportunity to discover the Kung fu and Wuxia genres through 14 classics filled with heroic warriors and fantastic elements.
In these films, which tell epic stories of heroism and revenge, master directors such as Chang Cheh and Lau Kar-leung provide lessons in choreography and mise-en-scène.
