1 suspect arrested in connection with the fire in Kızılcahamam
One suspect detained in connection with the forest fire that occurred in the Kızılcahamam area on the Ankara-Bolu border has been arrested on charges of "causing a forest fire by negligence" and sent to prison.
In the investigation regarding the fire that started yesterday in a grassy area in the Kızılcahamam district and spread to a forested area in the Gerede district of Bolu, 1 suspect was detained under the instructions of the Kızılcahamam Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
After giving a statement to the investigation prosecutor, the suspect, who was brought to the courthouse, was referred to the on-duty criminal judgeship of peace.
Following the proceedings there, the suspect, identified as I.G., was arrested on charges of "causing a forest fire by negligence" and sent to prison.
