Sakarya's Karasu district was the scene of an incident where 3 university students staying at a KYK dormitory entered the sea.

While one of them, B.E.M. (19), disappeared from sight, the other youths managed to reach the shore through their own efforts. Upon notification of the situation, health, fire, and police teams were dispatched to the area.

Teams arriving at the scene have launched a search operation both underwater and on the surface to find the missing youth.
