2 vehicles burned after lightning strike
In the Bodrum district of Muğla, two parked cars were destroyed by fire after lightning struck a palm tree at an industrial site.
During a heavy downpour in the evening, lightning struck an industrial site in the Konacık neighborhood of Muğla's Bodrum district.
2 PARKED CARS BURNED
The palm tree hit by the lightning began to burn. The flames spread to a car parked under the tree.
POLICE AND FIRE TEAMS DISPATCHED
The flames, which grew on the car, spread to another vehicle right next to it. Upon notification, the Bodrum Fire Department Group Command, police, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.
The fire was extinguished with the intervention of the fire crews who arrived at the scene in a short time. While one of the cars was completely destroyed in the fire, the other vehicle also sustained damage.
