The attack on a liquor store in Istanbul's Esenyurt district on the night of July 28, 2023, had become a major topic on Turkey's agenda.
Four people who arrived at the liquor store in Güzelyurt neighborhood opened fire on the people they were arguing with. Of the 8 people detained in connection with the attack, 4 were arrested and sent to prison.
The detained defendants Tarık Özer, Murat Özer, Azat Özer, and Servet Özer will appear before a judge for the first time tomorrow (February 19) at 10:30.
WHAT HAD HAPPENED?
Murat Özer, Tarık Özer, Azat Özer, and Samet Özer, who raided the liquor store located on Mehmet Akif Ersoy Street in Esenyurt, Istanbul, opened fire on the 3 young men in the shop. While 20-year-old Batuhan Bayındır and 24-year-old Yunus Emre Erzen lost their lives, Yusuf Erzen was seriously injured.
