8 arrests in IMM operations

The corruption investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into suspects, including Ekrem İmamoğlu, who was removed from his post as IMM Mayor following his arrest, on charges of "being a leader of a criminal organization," "being a member of a criminal organization," "extortion," "bribery," "qualified fraud," "unlawful acquisition of personal data," and "rigging a tender" is ongoing.

The testimonies of Hüseyin Yurddaş, the driver of Fatih Keleş; Sabri Caner Kırca, the driver of Kadriye Kasapoğlu; Kadir Öztürk, the driver of Murat Ongun; as well as Mustafa Bostancı, accountant Zafer Çimen, businesspeople Salih İlhan and Bulut Aydöner, and Ağaç AŞ employees Fatih Yağcı, Murat Or, and Ümit Polat, who were detained as part of the investigation, have been completed at the prosecutor's office.

The prosecutor's office referred Bulut Aydöner, Fatih Yağcı, Hüseyin Yurddaş, Kadir Öztürk, Murat Or, Mustafa Bostancı, Sabri Caner Kırca, and Ümit Polat to the criminal judgeship of peace with a request for arrest, and Zafer Çimen and Salih İlhan with a request for judicial control.

The proceedings for the suspects at the judgeship are continuing.

The suspects were detained on July 9 in an operation conducted by teams from the Financial Crimes Investigation Branch as part of the investigation carried out by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

Eight of the 10 suspects detained as part of the corruption investigation into the IMM have been arrested.

The names of those arrested are as follows:

1- Hüseyin Yurddaş - Driver of IMM Sports Club President Fatih Keleş

2- Sabri Caner Kırca - Driver of IMM Chief of Staff Kadriye Kasapoğlu

3- Kadir Öztürk - Driver of IMM Mayoral Advisor and MEDYA AŞ Board Chairman Murat Ongun

4- Mustafa Bostancı - Driver of IMM Council Member İbrahim Özkan

5- Fatih Yağcı - Ağaç AŞ Employee

6- Murat Or - Ağaç AŞ Employee

7- Ümit Polat - Ağaç AŞ Employee

8- Bulut Aydöner - Businessman
