Accident on the D-100: 5 people, including 2 children, injured
Five people, including two children, were injured in a collision between a worker shuttle bus and a car in the Gebze district of Kocaeli.
The D-100 Highway, heading toward Istanbul, was the site of an accident at the Muallimköy junction. According to the information obtained, a worker shuttle bus driven by I.Ö. rear-ended a Tofaş-brand car driven by A.A.
In the accident, the car driver A.A. and 4 others, including 2 children, were injured. Upon notification to the 112 Emergency Call Center, fire, health, and police teams were dispatched to the scene.

Following the initial intervention by medical teams at the scene, the injured were taken to various hospitals in Gebze. Due to the accident, the Istanbul-bound direction of the D-100 Highway remained closed to traffic for 1 hour. Traffic returned to normal after the vehicles involved in the accident were removed by a tow truck. An investigation into the accident has been initiated.
