Admission regarding the terrorist organization PKK from the ruling coalition's junior partner!

Great Unity Party (BBP) Chairman Mustafa Destici was in the city to attend a congress organized by the Çorum Provincial Presidency. Welcomed by party members in front of the State Theater Hall, Destici emphasized in his speech there that Turkey is now a country free of terrorism.

“THE ROOTS OF TERROR AND TERRORISTS MUST BE ERADICATED”

Drawing attention to Turkey's success in the fight against terrorism, Destici stated, “We want the roots of terrorism, terrorists, and their extensions to be eradicated from this country. That is why we say the PKK must lay down its arms and disband itself.” Destici noted that the PKK must lay down its arms and disband not only in Turkey but also in Syria.

FIGHT AGAINST THE ARMED TERRORIST ORGANIZATION

Mustafa Destici said that Turkey will continue its fight against terrorism and that terrorists must be completely eliminated. Destici said, "If this nation loses its identity and faith, then we will fall. We fight against the armed terrorist organization. We have been doing so for 40 years, and thank God, we have crushed the head of terrorism." He also stated that Turkey has suffered 800 martyrs and spent more than 2 trillion dollars during this process.

"A VERY DETERMINED STRUGGLE WAS WAGED AFTER THE TRENCH INCIDENTS"

Destici stated that Turkey launched a determined struggle against terrorism following the 2015 Trench incidents. Emphasizing that terrorism has been largely destroyed as a result of this struggle, the BBP Chairman said, "Our army and our state have waged a very determined fight against terrorism."

"THE WEAPONS THE PKK HAS LAID DOWN FOR SHOW ARE NOT ENOUGH"

Stating that the PKK had laid down its arms "for show," Destici said, "The PKK laid down 25-30 weapons for show. They left them in northern Iraq." However, he noted that these steps were insufficient and that true disarmament would only be possible if the PKK's structures in both Turkey and Syria were completely terminated.

"WEAPONS WILL ONLY BE LAID DOWN WHEN THE TERRORISTS ARE COMPLETELY ELIMINATED"

The BBP leader reiterated that the fight against terrorism is not limited to the PKK in Turkey, and that the PKK in Syria must also lay down its arms and disband, stating, "It is not just the PKK operating in Turkey; those in Syria must also lay down their arms and disband. Only then will weapons be laid down."
