AKP Mardin Provincial Chair Vahap Alma announces his resignation

AKP Mardin Provincial Chair Vahap Alma stated, "My request to be relieved of my duties, made in order to ease the burden on our President and our Headquarters, has been accepted following consultations and evaluations."

In a statement made at the party building, Alma said that he had been serving as the AKP Mardin Provincial Chair since March 13, 2023, with the approval of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Stating that they had overcome many challenges together with party members during this period and achieved successful results, Alma expressed that they had carried out work aimed at the further development of Mardin in every field.

HE SUBMITTED HIS RESIGNATION 1.5 MONTHS AGO

Expressing that he had submitted his request to be relieved of his duties to the AKP Headquarters approximately 1.5 months ago, Alma noted the following:

"My request to be relieved of my duties, made in order to ease the burden on our President and our Headquarters, has been accepted following consultations and evaluations. Please grant me your blessing, as I am a brother of yours who has always tried to do his job properly without ever resorting to showmanship or ostentation.

I have had a personal connection and good days with each and every one of you. I am satisfied with you, and may God be satisfied with you as well.

It should not be forgotten that this is neither a beginning nor an end. Whatever task is given to us again, whatever is asked of us, we remain ready and at the disposal of our leader and our party."

Alma added that Hikmet Bülent Gözü would serve as the acting Provincial Chair.

Hikmet Bülent Gözü also thanked Alma for his services.
