Ankara Courthouse clerk performed unlawful acts using prosecutors' passwords: Processed into the system without submission for approval
It has been revealed that a court clerk identified as A.Y., working at the Ankara Courthouse, made unauthorized interventions in investigation files by using prosecutors' passwords. The clerk, who caused a major judicial scandal involving fake decisions, financial gain, and operations outside of oversight, has been arrested.
The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has uncovered striking information during its investigation into court clerk A.Y., who was involved in a scandal that has sent shockwaves through the justice system.
The investigation, launched following a tip-off that A.Y., who worked at the Terror Crimes Investigation Bureau, had performed unlawful acts in certain investigation files in exchange for financial gain, has exposed security vulnerabilities within the judicial system.
The Chief Public Prosecutor's Office first terminated A.Y.'s employment. Subsequently, MASAK (Financial Crimes Investigation Board) and the Revenue Administration were brought in to determine whether the suspect acted alone or as part of a criminal network. At the same time, notary transactions performed by A.Y. were also placed under scrutiny.
ACCESSED WITH PROSECUTORS' PASSWORDS
Investigations revealed that court clerk A.Y. accessed UYAP accounts belonging to prosecutors without authorization and sabotaged the investigation process by issuing "non-prosecution" decisions for certain suspects. Furthermore, it was determined that these actions were camouflaged with fake documents to evade the oversight of the investigating prosecutors.
The Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has canceled all decisions manipulated by A.Y. and initiated new proceedings against the individuals involved. Arrest and detention warrants have been issued for some suspects, including those located abroad. Among those arrested are individuals identified as operating within the country.
SHOCKING CONFESSIONS FROM THE COURT CLERK
In his statement, A.Y., who was arrested as part of the investigation, admitted that he had performed all the unlawful acts on his own by using the prosecutors' passwords without authorization. A.Y. confessed that he created the decisions himself and processed them into the system without submitting them for the prosecutors' approval. Moreover, he stated that he prepared fake documents and files to bypass the control of the responsible Deputy Chief Public Prosecutor, and that he tried to avoid suspicion by making the decision texts consistent with the file contents.
