Audio recording of Altaş, detained in the US as part of the Gülistan Doku investigation, emerges: I will leave the killer in your hands

As part of the investigation into the disappearance of Gülistan Doku, a second-year Child Development student at Munzur University who has been missing in Tunceli since January 5, 2020, 12 of the 15 suspects detained were arrested, while judicial control measures were imposed on 3 others.

An Interpol red notice had also been issued for the fugitive suspect Umut Altaş, who was in the US.

Altaş made a statement to a press organization for the first time this morning, stating that he wanted this case to be resolved once and for all.

An audio recording of a phone call made from a police station by Altaş, who was caught and detained by US security forces, has emerged.

"I will leave the killer in your hands"

In the recording, Altaş said, "I will tell the prosecutor everything I know.

The Republic of Turkey needs to reach me. I am Umut, I have everything that will close the file.

I want the necessary authorities from the Republic of Turkey to reach me.

I am currently at a police station in America. They are going to send me back to Turkey.

I have the proof of everything in my hands. I will leave the killer in your hands."
